Nigeria delists 37 illegal loan apps: See list

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) says that the number of delisted loan apps increased from 9 to 37.

According to the commission’s latest report, the number of fully approved loan apps also rose from 154 to 164.

The report further revealed that the number of loan apps with conditional approval fell from 40 to 38, while the number of apps on the commission’s watchlist rose from 20 to 56 as it intensified its activities in the digital money lending space, following complaints by Nigerian consumers of harassment by the digital lenders.

Delisted loan apps were permanently taken down from the Play Store by Google.

The commission gave the names of the delisted apps as:

Cashme App, Secucash App, Creditbox App, Cashmama App, Crimson Credit App, Galaxy Credit App, Ease Cash App, Xcredit, Imoney, Naira Naija, Imoneyplus-Instant, Nairanaija-Instant, Nownowmoney, Naija Cash, Eagle Cash, Firstnell App, Flypay, and Spark Credit.
